Had a wonderful evening. Location was beautiful and the family were lovely people and keen to help us enjoy it. Stayed later than planned cos we got chatting around the fire!! Big leather sofas, blankets and rugs in front of an open fire.
Sue and Jon had heard about the retreat from there so, Chris, who lives in Thompson. We have been going in retreats for over 30 years as we love being in nature. When I first visited the site, I was shocked, but in a good way. I’m a design engineer and love innovation a fine design. I found it in abundance as Owner, Amanda, and her partner, Kyle are both construction and building professionals. We opted to try out the spa option, followed by a fresco dinner served in front of a blazing fire. All the food was made from fresh ingredients a cooked on a wood fire. We had a sauna, then a hot tub session, followed by a plunge in the swimming lake. After a few hours and a shower, we made our way to the outdoor dining area. Fab chesterfield sofa with sheepskin throws in front of a roaring log fire. We were served pre-dinner drinks. We then were taken to our table and enjoyed the most wonderful 3 course meal that was beautifully cooked and truly Devine. We are returning after Easter for full body massages. The setting of the retreat is deep in the woods. Pigmy goats run around freely, bounding up to greet you and nibbling you pockets. Amanda also has many horses for you to make a fuss off. Fantastic weekend. A few extra logs and kindling in the winter would have been appreciated, but we totally enjoyed ourselves and will return hopefully in the summer next time. Thank you. X

Visited for my sisters birthday and it was stunning! The food was lovely, priced very reasonably and both of the ladies working went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.
We had a splendid time, loved it all esp the ambience of the woodlands, the owls twit-too’ing, the sea sparkly lights, the woodburner and open fires. The food was good, wine an added treat! Thank you <3

The food and the experience was absolutely second to none. We sat next to an open fire in a very relaxed woodland setting which was very peaceful and cosy with the blankets. The food was amazing every course hit the spot! Will happily be returning!
