The greeting we got on arrival was fantastic so friendly and the new layout is beautiful. Set down order some drinks and then order food starters wings and fishcake . They arrived 4 mins later . Wings and fishcake cold in the centre we also order a kids roast beef and it wasn't warm . I call the guy over and he apologised and went to the kitchen . Where I was sitting i could see in the door to the pass . Chef where having a great time . Starters came out warm but very underwhelming. Mains I asked for the goujons stack but was brought a chicken dinner (I gave up at this point) missus got the beef and it was beautiful. But no one came back to the table so I just ate the chicken dinner . The only other table in the restaurant was a 15x . After our mains a girl came and cleared the table and asked did we want to see the sweet menu . We said yes as it's 3 courses for £25 . The only price on the menu btw no other prices . 22mins we waited before I asked for the bill because we were fed up waiting I also asked to speak to the manager. The girl brought the bill down . They charged us full £25 pp without us even looking at the dessert menu . My blood actually boiled over this is when the manager arrived I explained the situation and he was very apologetic and didn't charge us a penny . I offered to pay something but he refused . I always feel problems happen in hospitality and it's how you fix it will determine if the person returns . The service from the manager was good . The food was shockingly bad . And the reason I took my family for dinner is because I stood in a kitchen that day for 9 hours myself . I'm sorry for this but I think the feedback is needed .

My lasagne was burnt and tough to cut at the bottom. my daughter's pizza also had a black base. Not great.

Food service very quick some people in out 25 minuets. Had to ask for delay in courses staff more than happy to accommodate. If not in rush I was ask they slow service down

This was our first time at Murphy Brown's and it won't be our last. The staff were so welcoming, the food was amazing, the restaurant was spotless. Would definitely recommend.

A fabulous meal was had on Easter Sunday - quick service, friendly staff & the value for money is brilliant. Best on the road without a doubt.

Absolutely loved our visit food was so delicious and service was 10/10. Only thing is it was a little more expensive than expected, I think a deal on all our desserts would have been good but aside from that no complaints! We’d certainly come back. :) Thank you

Love Murphy Browns, staff are so friendly and welcoming, food is unreal. Now with their own licence to sell alcohol their cocktails are unreal. Definitely will be back.

Food was lovely. Had a great time until approached by a staff member when outside the restaurant asking if we had paid the bill. Maybe staff should check with the staff members who cleared the table and took the bill before approaching customers in this manner.

We had a lovely time. The food and service were of a high standard, and we loved the new fit-out of the new restaurant. The only feedback would be it would be nice if there were vegan options provided and labelled in starters, mains, and desserts, but I appreciate that for a small restaurant that providing for specific dietary requirements may not be possible.

Brill quick service staff very friendly

I live locally and the refurbishment is lovely , service was excellent and food very nice . Unfortunately I am Coeliac and found the menu a little limited and staff a bit unsure of allergens - some suggestions would be : allergens marked on menu , separate gf menu showing items that could be easily modified , I would love to see a “chips” option to go with steak or burgers - if no space for Separate fryer a possible option might be to slice and pan fry baby boils ? I had a lovely evening and am offering these suggestions constructively ! I’d love some more gf options on my doorstep - esp for lunch

We had a gr8 evening at murphy browns . 12 of us celebrating my friends 60th . The refurbished restaurant is lovely. Menu was very a gr8 mix from pizza yo steak . We availed of the early bird which is very good value. Staff were so friendly , helpfully and efficient. Everyone of us really enjoyed our night and we would highly recommend murphy browns. Thank you.
